Froma supplychainperspective, new
suppliers,contractorsandsubcontractors
are screened in accordance with
our subcontracting, purchasing and
requisition policies. Included in the
assessment criteria are considerations
for healthand safetycertifications and
practicesand labourconsiderations.All
suppliers,contractorsandsubcontractors
are required to abide by relevant laws
and regulations inaddition tocompany
safetypolicyandprocedures.Anannual
review, based on the same criteria, is
conductedonallsupplychainparticipants.
Safety induction training is also
provided onsite for any contractors
and subcontractors required to work
in our yards prior to commencing

place greater emphasis on health and
safety training, awareness, procedures
andgeneraleducationandaim todevelop
a culture whereby safety is ingrained
into each and every employee and
subcontractor workingwith us.
Theoperating subsidiaries (SeaDeep,
InterseasandBakerEngineering)have
attained OHSAS 18001 certification
and undergo annual audits as part of
the certification requirements as well
as company policy. In addition, Sea
Deepand InterseasarebizSAFELevel
3 certifiedwhileBakerEngineering is
a bizSAFEStar Enterprise.
Safety awareness starts with all new
hires attending a compulsory safety
inductionprogrammewhereworkplace
hazardsandat-riskareasarehighlighted
and theGroup’sOHSASproceduresare
outlined.Newemployeesarealso issued
with personal protective equipment
includingsafetyboots,helmets,goggles
and ear plugs.All regulatory training,
inaddition toallmedical examinations
