Adding another Crucial Equipment to the Industry

Incorporated in May 2018 as a wholly-own subsidiary of Baker Tech, Baker Engineering’s focuses on the design, engineering and construction of mobile offshore units including liftboats, mobile offshore production units and self-elevating units for the offshore marine industry. A sub-division of Baker Engineering is also fully equipped to provide steel fabrication and piping works for the oil and gas, marine, mining and land construction industries.

Baker Engineering’s wholly-owned subsidiary – Bel Design Pte Ltd designed the first Liftboat design – The BEL 320-4R200S Liftboat. The construction of the state-of-the-art DP2 Liftboat, named- Blue Titanium, was constructed by Baker Engineering and is owned by BT Titanium Pte. Ltd. BT Titanium Pte. Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Baker Tech.

In the second quarter of 2018, Blue Titanium was mobilised on a time charter supporting rejuvenation works for oil and gas platform for a national oil company. Blue Titanium offers offshore workers with top-tier accommodation services, walk-to-work gangway and an on-board pedestal crane with lifting capacity of up to 300MT.

Baker Engineering operates out of three waterfront shipyards in Singapore, each equipped with open production facilities, office buildings, workshops and warehouses. Its waterfront advantage provides an option for its customers to transport completed products by sea. In 2018, two of its shipyards attained the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code. The onsite warehouses are also fully equipped with a live Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system fully integrated with procurement division for inventory enhanced traceability.
