aker Engineering Pte. Ltd.
(“Baker Engineering”) was
incorporated inMay2013 as a
wholly-ownedsubsidiaryofBakerTech.
Baker Engineering complements and
adds a new dimension toBaker Tech’s
corebusinesssegmentbydesigningand
constructingmobile offshore units and
critical equipment/components for the
offshoremarine industry.
In theyearofreview,BakerEngineering
madesignificantprogressontheconstruction
of its first Liftboat (BEL320-4R200S
Liftboat).Thestateof theartLiftboatwas

Engineering
Pte. Ltd.
designedby itswhollyownedsubsidiary,
BELDesign Pte. Ltd and classed by
theAmerican Bureau of Shipping for
Unrestricted Service and can work in
waterdepthsofup to67m.TheBEL320-
4R200S Liftboat has a four structured
round/column legs supporting a large
hull thusprovidingasubstantialuseable
deckarea.Thehullcanbeelevated from
thesea toprovideastableplatform from
whichoffshore installation,construction
andmaintenanceworkmaybecarriedout.
BELDesign continues todevelopother
MobileOffshoreUnitdesigns toexpand
itsproduct offering tocater to theneeds
of the offshore oil and gas and wind
industry. Eachdesign targets adifferent
sub-segment in termsofoperationaluse,
waterdepths, environmentalconditions,
crane lifting capacity and personnel
accommodation. Inaddition to theWind
Turbine Installation Vessel designed
previously, BELDesign is developing
otherMobile Offshore Units including
OffshoreWorkoverJackupVesseldesigns
and Jack up Platforms for supporting
production topsidemodules.
Baker Engineering operates from two
shipyards in Jurong inSingaporewhich
includes office buildings, workshop
facilitiesandaslipway.BakerEngineering’s
QualityManagementSystemwascertified
to ISO9001:2015 on 2

June 2016 by
DNV-GL. Together with its OHSAS
18001:2007Certification andbizSAFE
STARcertification,BakerEngineering is
abletocombineitsoutstandingengineering
andconstructioncapabilitieswithahigh
level of quality while still maintaining
exceptionalhealthandsafetystandards to
delivercrucialequipment to the industry.
